Litigation

As part of our multi-faceted approach to promoting front-end accountability, transparency, and racial justice in policing, the Policing Project directly confronts anti-democratic and illegal law enforcement practices in court.

Our litigation team partners with community groups and impacted individuals to file legal challenges and amicus briefs against government agencies and private companies that infringe on the public’s rights. We rely on state and federal law to fight policing practices that have not been authorized by democratic bodies and that enable arbitrary and discriminatory enforcement of the law.
