Arif Alikhan is President and Chief Legal Counsel for TacLogix, Inc. He is a nationally recognized expert on policing, homeland security, and counterterrorism with a distinguished 25-year career in senior policy, legal, and operational positions with the U.S. Department of Justice, Department of Homeland Security, and the City of Los Angeles.

Mr. Alikhan was a federal prosecutor in Los Angeles for nearly a decade and served as a senior advisor to two U.S. Attorneys General on cybercrime and intellectual property issues. He was the Assistant Secretary for Policy Development at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security during the Obama. While with the City of Los Angeles, Mr. Alikhan was the Deputy Mayor for Homeland Security and Public Safety with responsibility over the Los Angeles Police, Fire, and Emergency Management Departments. He later served as the Deputy Executive Director for Homeland Security, Law Enforcement, and Fire Services for Los Angeles World Airports.

Most recently, Mr. Alikhan was the Director of Constitutional Policing and Policy for the Los Angeles Police Department. He spearheaded the LAPD's reform efforts and policy development on technology-related programs and initiatives. He also served as the chief legal advisor to the Chief of Police and was the first civilian ever appointed to the equivalent rank of Assistant Chief of Police in the 150-year history of the LAPD.
