Public Feedback on CCPD’s Body Worn Camera Policy
Report on the Comments Received and the CCPD’s Response
Overview
The Policing Project partnered with the Camden County Police Department to solicit community input on the department’s body-worn camera policy to ensure that its policy is consistent with the values and interests of Camden residents. In response to the public feedback, CCPD made a number of changes to its policy, including on activation, notification, and public access. This report summarizes the community feedback, and explains how that feedback is reflected in the revised BWC policy, or why the department thought it advisable to proceed otherwise.
