Josh Parker
Deputy Director of Policy
Josh joined the Policing Project from the Appeals and Opinions Bureau of the New York State Office of the Attorney General. In his previous role, Josh briefed and argued civil appeals in federal and state court, and conducted high-impact affirmative trial litigation. Before working for the Office of the Attorney General, Josh worked in the Washington, DC office of Jenner & Block, where he represented indigent criminal defendants and habeas petitioners before courts across the country, including the U.S. Supreme Court, and maintained a substantial civil rights pro bono practice.
Josh is a graduate of Duke University and the University of Chicago Law School, where he graduated with High Honors and served as an Articles Editor for The University of Chicago Law Review. After law school, Josh clerked for Justice Neil M. Gorsuch when he was serving as a judge on the Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
